Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS): In 1975, it was introduced on an experimental basis. Its aim is to provide children upto 6 years of age supplementary nutrition, immunisation, health check-up, referral services, pre—school non-formal education as well as nutrition and health education for their mothers.
